What's happening at Lane's End?

Cabernet Franc is back  !!

We are super happy to have obtained some wonderful Cabernet Franc fruit from Glenhope vineyard situated in the North of the Macedon Ranges G.I. The fruit came in wonderfully ripe at a Baumé of 13.7

This was vinified using wild yeasts with minimal handling .

The wine was bottled early May 2025 after spending 14 months in French oak barrels with 15% new oak.

A medium deep crimson with a medium body structure showing lifted peppery , graphite aromas  with blackcurrant, violets and herbal undertones.

Soft chalky tannins give a lovely soft mouthfeel with more generous fruit flavours coming on as the wine breathes.

Drinking very well now, this wine will age well over the next ten years.
