Light straw green, this wine has  a very fine, clean minerally palate. The layers of  melon fig & stone fruit are balanced with subtle barrell ferment characters of biscuit, cashew & lees inputs with spicy notes.

25% new French oak was used with second & third use barrells giving the oak a supporting role rather than a dominating one. Malolactic fermentation was kept to 40% to retain a clean, crisp, non fatty mouthfeel.

The intensity of the wine picks up on the finish with a very long aftertaste. This wine will develop with further cellaring

A very fruit focused wine, due to no oak contact. It is very aromatic with sweet peach, melon & stone fruit off set by cool acidity.

A very lush palate with a degree of sweetness. Great to drink by itself or with food.

This wine has the typical varietal characters of Cabernets, smoky, cedary spicy bouquet with blackberry, strawberry, liquorice and cassis. Aged in used French & American oak for 30 months, it has developed intense savoury, spicy notes as well as a velvety smooth mouthfeel.

It is a more medium bodied wine than a Cab.Sauvignon with none of the hard tannins often associated with this variety. A wonderful wine to
accompany pastas, stews & red meats.

Cleanskins

CLEANSKIN - 2007 CHARDONNAY   $15.00 a bottle

Pale straw green, this wine has been 100% barrell fermented in a mix of new & used French oak. The wine displays a classic Chardonnay nose of peach, melon and citrus notes complimented by the barrell ferment characters of cashew nut and biscuit. The palate is very clean and has a long finish.

    There is a small harmless crystalline deposit due to the wine not being completely cold stabilised.This does not affect the wine in any way and is commonly seen in red wine.

    The advantage is to you, the consumer who can buy a premium barrell fermented Chardonnay at HALF price.

   This wine is great with food and will cellar very well for up to 5+ years
